Community Health Promotion

My graduate studies focused on program evaluation (CDC and AEA standards), biostatistical data analysis, and theoretical and empirical intervention design (focused on social and behavioral models such as Social Cognitive Theory and the Integrated Behavioral Model.

My master’s thesis was an investigation of normative and attitudinal changes in high school students after implementation of an anti-bullying campaign, utilizing the Bystander Model.  I successfully defended my thesis in December of 2013.

Genetics and Politcal Science (Dual Degree), 2007

Genetics

In addition to the core biological and physical sciences I studied the fundamental principles of genetics and applications of these principles across the life sciences. I also studied the core concepts of immunology and bacteriology.

Political Science

My studies in political science focused on American constitutional law, especially the 1st Amendment, and on comparative politics, specifically non-traditional concepts of power and how these impact governance.
